This bench came from the idea of constraints to create something new. Every angle on this piece is a ten degree angle that creates a unique form around this constraint. It turned into a Japandi (Japanese and Scandinavian) influence with some hints at traditional Japanese joinery with simple, utilitarian form from Scandinavian craftsmanship. The Angelim Pedra wood is a hard, mineral dense wood from South America that holds up well to the elements outdoors.
