With this piece we wanted to feature the crack in the wood rather than fill it or work around it. Using the bowties to hold it together and draw your eye to the crack, it tells the story of the stress that the wood went under as the water that at one point brought life to the tree left the wood. The stress was all part of the process of the wood becoming this piece that can be enjoyed for generations and be a reminder of what can be on the other side of the stress that shapes our lives.
